Our House Concert with Randall Goodgame

Last night we welcomed Randall Goodgame to our home for a fabulous night of music.  Hearing music in this intimate setting is so warm, relaxing and comfy. I highly recommend having a house concert!  This was our second one and I’m sure we’ll be having more.  We were just so thrilled to have Randall share his God-given talent of music with us. Randall is an accomplished christian singer-songwriter who writes the most thoughtful songs that are beautifully delivered.  And, Randall’s music appeals to all ages.  Not only does he write songs for the ‘big kids’ but he writes for the little ones as well. His Slug & Bugs & Lullabies CD is one of our family’s favorites (A few months back, I had a giveaway of that CD right here at Stayfunnie-Mom).  We really enjoy the New Christmas Slugs & Bugs too!  Towards the end of the concert I ran upstairs to put my son in his crib for the night and could hear Randall singing downstairs.  I couldn’t believe that he was actually in my living room giving a concert.  Wow!  It was a memorable night and an honor to meet Randall.  He has a gentle and kind way about him, and it shows through his music.

We are so thankful to Dave Trout and the Under the Radar group for helping us make this night a great success. Under the Radar highlights some of the best undiscovered and under-appreciated music from Christian artists.  It’s just sweet gourmet music that the world needs to hear! I would really recommend you check out Under the Radar’s website (you can get on their facebook and twitter pages there as well).

Here are some pictures from the night:

Randall enjoys playing a real piano, so we took the keyboard out of the concert/living room and rolled in our piano.  To our surprise is was fairly in-tune and Randall made it sound awesome!

Randall taught us some hand motions to his children’s songs Dave Trout from Under the Radar helped us with the motions

After the concert, my sweet niece got on the piano while Randall played.  So cute!

I can’t forget all the yummy eats

This was a special night…We’ll be talking about it for a long time!
