Craft (video) Tutorial: Scrappy Fabric Rosette

This is such a fun and easy project to make, and this rolled rosette flower can be used many ways: string a bunch of rosettes to make a necklace, sew your rosette together and embellish a t-shirt, glue to a greeting card, add to a headband, glue to a pin and use as a brooch, etc…so many ideas!  Have fun!

Here’s what you need:

  • scrap fabric
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun
  • felt
  • barrette clip & button (optional)

Make It:

  • cut a piece of fabric about 1 inch wide and 10-12 inches long
  • cut a felt circle to the size you would like your rosette
  • tie a knot at one end

  • now twist the fabric while rolling the twist around the knot

  • using your glue gun, spread some hot glue on the felt circle and press your rosette into the glue to cover the back. cut any excess felt off.

  • you can add a button, gem, beads, etc. to the center and glue on a barrette

Here’s a video tutorial I made (sometimes it’s easier when someone shows you!)  =)
